Iausly wildflower artwork on display

Artist Christl Iausly is sharing her wildflower artwork in the Community Room Gallery at the Spring Green Library in July. Iausly’s wildflower art is created by hand using self-collected flowers, leaves, twigs and more—most collected from her own gardens. She dries and presses these natural elements and creates original designs with them mounted on handmade papers. Every design is unique. Some include calligraphy. She works in a large studio in her home which is blessed with lots of light. Her natural supplies are stored in labeled bins ready to be easily accessed when needed. She derives great pleasure there. Also included in Iausly’s show are hand-woven wheat ornaments in the traditional style of her native Germany. Christl Iausly’s wildflower artwork is available for viewing during regular library hours when the community room is not in use. Please ask for the gallery key at the circulation desk.
