Dennis (Denny) Wright
Dennis (Denny) Wright, 82, passed away on Sunday, May 31, at Meriter Hospital in Madison, with his family by his side.
Denny was born on July 26, 1943, in Mauston, Wisconsin. He grew up in Wonewoc and attended Wonewoc High School, where he met his future wife, Judy. Denny and Judy got married in December 1961 and remained together for 65 years.
Denny was a semi-truck driver for most of his working life until he retired in 2008. An avid hunter throughout his life, Denny spent countless hours in the woods and took great pride in his hunting accomplishments. He took up golf and enjoyed many rounds on the course with friends and family, creating lasting memories along the way.
Denny was a lifelong Wisconsin sports fan who rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Judy, son Allan and his wife, Angie, Baraboo; son Bryan and his wife, Kristin, Winneconne; brother Delbert and his wife, Marianne, Albany, WI; sister Audrey Gehri and husband John; Wonewoc; sister-in-law Rita Wright, Wonewoc; grandchildren Leah, Darin, Nathan and Hannah; step-grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Frieda; sister, Patsy Hofmeister and brother, Terry Wright.
