Bridges Elementary solar array completed, furnishes 50 percent of electricity

Sauk Prairie Solar Schools, a community group of solar enthusiasts who share the goal of bringing solar energy to the Sauk Prairie School District, is pleased to announce the completion of their second project. A 200kW solar array has been installed on Bridges Elementary School by Westphal & Company. The 407 solar panels will produce 50% (235,385 kWh) of Bridges’ consumption of electricity annually for the next 30 years. Sauk Prairie Solar Schools provided one third of the cost of this project through grants and generous donations from the Sauk Prairie community. Watch for upcoming news of the next fundraising campaign for the Sauk Prairie Solar Schools third solar project.
