The W.R. & Floy A. Sauey Family Foundation donated $10,000 toward the Village of Rock Springs’ Memorial Pavilion Project. Seen here are Village Trustee Jamie Busser, left, with Foundation Representative Eric Sauey, Flambeau Plant Manager in Baraboo Jorden Grubb, far left, and Seats Inc. Plant Manager in Reedsburg John Templin, far right. Sauey serves as chair of Seats Inc.
The Foundation is celebrating 25 years of philanthropy. As the charitable arm of the Nordic Group of Companies, it donates to causes in the areas where it operates and employs personnel. The Group includes Flambeau, Seats and Columbia.
Rock Springs wants to build a memorial pavilion from components salvaged from the old community center, which was demolished due to flood damage. Organizers want to turn them into a brand new pavilion to honor the old center, which was a hotbed for local celebrations and activities for generations.
The fundraiser is still underway. To find out more or donate, visit rockspringswi.gov/memorial-pavilion-project. (Submitted photo)
