Donations provide supplies for all Weston school children

Weston School has once again provided all classroom supplies for all students in the district, families were only required to provide backpacks and gym shoes for each student. Through donations made by the community, the district has been able to provide all supplies needed for the past few years.

Lime Ridge/Sandusky United Methodist Church hosted a Brat Sale before school began to raise funds for classroom supplies at Weston School. Jason McDonough presented a check for $786 to Weston Superintendent Gary Syftestad. As a result, 40 Weston students have all their school supplies covered for the new school year.

The Weston Silver Eagle Foundation donated $500 to the Weston School District, covering the cost for 25 Weston students.

Other substantial donations include $1,000 from the Eagle Pride Parent Group and $1,000 from an anonymous donor. More than $4,000 has been collected in financial donations so far this school year.

Financial donations are still being accepted. Donate online at bit.ly/WestonSupplies, or checks can be either dropped off or mailed to the Weston School Offices.
