Obituary: Allen L. Machmueller

Allen L. Machmueller, age 76, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. He was born on March 27, 1945 in Shawano, WI, the son of August J. and Viola E. (Paugel) Machmueller. Allen, also known by his nickname “Mucky,” loved growing up on the farm. Allen had been employed as a salesman for farm equipment for several years. He later drove a milk semi for Korth Transfer for ten years then hauled cheese for Carr Valley Cheese for ten years before his retirement. Al served his country in the Army National Guard for two years. He enjoyed hunting, camping, boating, and going on “Mucky Tours” in the car with his kids and grandchildren. He was always there to help anyone with a loving positive hand and smile. He was very strong in his faith.

Allen is survived by his fiancé Susan Peterson; children: Ivan Korth, Julie Garrido, Tina (Scott) Preuss, Leanne (John) Templin; mother of his children, Sharon Curtiss; step-daughter, Anjanet (Floyd) Robertson; grandchildren: Chelsey (Robert) Strubel, Allison Berning (Tyler Shanks), Hunter Knitt, Madison Spencer, Alexis and Samuel Templin, Austin, Dean and Zella Garrido; step-grandchildren, Lauren Robertson, Summer Williams, and Jaz Roberts; great-grandchildren: Jaxson and Eddie Strubel; his siblings: Violet Boerst, Delores Foulke, , Karen (Jim) Habeck, Jeff (Kim) Machmueller, and Kristy (Steve) Beltz; along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law Burt Boerst, and Evan Foulke.

Funeral services for Allen Machmueller will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Church of God in Reedsburg with Pastor Debbie Sammons officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be made in St. John Cemetery, Reedsburg. Memorials of remembrance may be made to the Reedsburg Church of God, or to Samaritan’s Purse in lieu of flowers.
