National Guard undergoes training to support hospitals, nursing homes

The Wisconsin National Guard is training members to be certified nursing assistants to help hospitals and nursing homes overwhelmed by COVID-19.

Gov. Tony Evers announced the effort last week. The goal is to open at least 200 beds by the end of February so they can receive post-acute care patients.
