Engineering group lambasts Wisconsin’s road conditions

The American Society of Civil Engineers Wisconsin Section recently reacted to transportation dollars in the state.

It announced that the state needs to invest in infrastructure and transit/roads. Both areas received D+ rating from the organization in its most recent report card.

According to the group, more than one-third of Wisconsin’s roads are in fair to below-fair condition. However, the state may be taking a step in the right direction. According to the Section, a two-percent increase in funding has been proposed in the next budget.

The American Society of Civil Engineers represents more than 150,000 civil engineers worldwide and is America’s oldest national engineering society. The group works to raise awareness for the need to maintain and modernize infrastructure.
