Weston celebrates prom this week

It’s prom week for the Weston School District.

Students are celebrating with a School Spirit Week, which includes dress up days, decorations and a pep rally.

It all culminates in a parade at 2 p.m. Friday, April 23, at the school. Those who want to watch should be parked or in the school parking lot no later than 1:55 p.m. that day because the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office will be closing off a portion of highway for the parade. Motorists must not park along the road. The route will begin at the far end of the parking lot, travel eastward along Highway S and curve back up the other driveway for the school.

The prom itself will be held at 7 p.m. April 24 at the school. Since last year’s prom was cancelled, this year’s event will feature both senior and junior courts.

This year’s theme is House of Cards.

The junior court includes Keeli Copus, Madi Benson, Hayden Schweich, Colton Greenwood, Abby Bennett, Desiree Buroker, Chase Connors, Gavin Willis, Matt Klang, Taylor Olson, Landen Olson, Alyshia Towne and Renee Spencer.

The senior court features Kaitlyn Weldy, Ella Spencer, Abbie Spencer, Emily Holloway, Laurissa Pickel, Hayden VanCoulter, Hunter Schmitt, Saige Allbaugh, Hunter Birdsill, David Bauer, Michael Durkee, Parker Luke, Chloe Gillmore, Jimmy Wilson and Ellie Drea.
