Applications sought for WI Agriculture Youth Council

Young residents with an interest in farming and related industries are invited to sign up for the 2021-2022 Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council.

The deadline for applications is March 31.

This program gives the next generation an opportunity to learn about ag-related careers and share their views with leaders. Students serve a one-year term and receive a certificate upon completion. Overall, 15 students will be accepted for the council.

To qualify, applicants must be a high school senior during the 2021-2022 school year. They must complete the application and share their experience and skills in a brief essay. They must also submit a one-minute video and letter of recommendation.

The council is facilitated through the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
